The Montane Men’s Polestar Jacket is a highly technical and versatile down duvet jacket that is intended to cope with winter and mountain use thanks to its exceptional weather-resistant properties.

The Pertex Endurance Mini Rip-stop outer fabric is what gives the jacket this excellent weather resistance and it is supplemeted by Pertex Endurance Rip-stop reinforcement on specific areas where protection against abrasion damage is most worthwhile.

The PEAQ Down liner feels very comfortable against the skin and is in addition both highly breathable and fast drying.

The down itself is of very high quality with 750 fill power so the Montane Men’s Polestar Jacket will cope admirably with very low winter temperatures yet it will still allow you to pursue your activities thanks to its non-restrictive design including articulated arms.

Care

• As with all Montane clothing, Pertex fabric contains Durable Water Repellency (DWR) as the first barrier to keeping you dry; clean your garment in order to maintain this
• Montane recommends using professional cleaning services if in any doubt
• Down clothing ideally needs to be hand washed; care must be taken to dry garment correctly
• Wash with mild soap in warm water 40°C (110°F)
• Do not use fabric softeners, bleach or liquid detergent
• Rinse garment thoroughly after washing to remove any soap traces
• Dry garment carefully in tumble drier on cool setting; you may need to stop tumble drier at regular intervals to loft down by hand
• It will take some time to dry down garment thoroughly; even if outer fabric is dry, down may not be
