Hot forged from Chromolly Steel, the Matrix Light Ice Axe head has no compromise in quality with its ergonomic curvature. The shaft has been optimally designed to give your hand maximum clearance during traction, keeping you knuckles un-bruised; yet the straight end of the shaft will sink easily into the snow when used as a walking pole.
Weighing in at only 515 g, the Matrix 4 Ice Axe also features a rubber grip and the ability to fit a trigger. The Matrix 4 Ice Axe can be used with or without a leash, but has holes in both the head and at the end of the shaft for attachment.
